Appdore, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates DidItIndex.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have regarding your data.

1.2 Scan Data

When you submit URLs for scanning, we collect the URLs you provide and the resulting scan reports (scores, check outcomes, and recommendations). This data is stored in association with your account.

1.3 Payment Information

Credit purchases are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers. We retain only a transaction reference ID, the product purchased, and the transaction date.

1.4 Automatically Collected Data

When you use the Service, we may automatically collect your IP address, general device and browser information, and timestamps of your activity. This data is used for security, abuse prevention, and improving the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Service: Running scans, generating reports, and managing your account.
  • To process payments: Fulfilling credit purchases through our payment processor.
  • To prevent abuse: Detecting fraudulent accounts and enforcing usage limits.
  • To communicate with you: Password resets, account notifications, and support responses.
  • To improve the Service: Understanding usage patterns and fixing issues.
  • To advertise: We may use aggregated, non-personally identifiable data to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Advertising and Analytics

We use third-party advertising and analytics platforms to promote our Service and understand how it is used. These may include, but are not limited to, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) Ads, and similar services.

These services may use cookies, tracking pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with our website and other websites. This information may be used to deliver targeted advertisements, measure ad performance, and analyze website traffic.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Certain features of the Service use third-party AI services (currently OpenAI and Anthropic) to check how AI assistants answer questions about businesses, and to write summaries and suggested fixes. Depending on the feature you use, we may send these providers:

  • the website address you submitted and the questions or search phrases being tested, including a city and state if you set one;
  • text and structure from the pages you scan, when you ask us to write a fix or a summary;
  • scan results needed to explain a report or a comparison;
  • the business type and area you type when you ask for question ideas.

We do not send your email address, password, or payment details to AI providers. Identical AI answers may be kept for up to 48 hours so that repeat checks return the same result.

Our public AI Recommendation Index pages show business names as they appeared in AI assistants' answers. A business that believes it is listed incorrectly can contact us to have it reviewed.

AI providers may process the data according to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control how third-party AI providers use or retain data submitted through their APIs.

6. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third-party providers for payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Brevo), AI analysis (OpenAI and Anthropic), scan checks (Brave Search and Google PageSpeed Insights), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), analytics, and advertising. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their policies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Scan results are retained for your reference and may be deleted upon request. Financial transaction records are retained as required for accounting and compliance purposes. Temporary security logs are pruned automatically on a regular basis.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive information, secure communication protocols, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access your data through your account dashboard.
  • Update your account information through account settings.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at dii@appdore.com.
  • Export your scan reports from the report page.
  • Opt out of analytics and advertising cookies through your browser settings.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can delete it.

11. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email or by posting a notice on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
