Free AI visibility tools

Three quick checks, no account needed. See whether AI recommends you, whether AI crawlers can read your site, and whether your llms.txt is set up right.

1. AI recommendation check

Does ChatGPT or Claude recommend you?

Type the question a customer would ask. We ask ChatGPT and Claude live, right now, and show you whether you were named and who was named instead.

Free, no account needed. Takes about 30 seconds. A few checks per day per visitor.

2. AI crawler checker

Is your site blocking AI crawlers?

Reads your robots.txt and shows which AI crawlers are allowed or blocked: OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google and more. Many sites block them by accident.

This reads robots.txt only. A firewall or security plugin can also block AI crawlers without showing up there. A full scan requests your pages as each crawler to catch that.

    3. llms.txt checker

Is your llms.txt set up right?

llms.txt is a short text file that tells AI tools what your business does and which pages matter. This checks that yours exists and follows the format.

New to llms.txt? Read our llms.txt guide. Signed-in users can have it written for them from any report with "Write this fix for me".

      Questions

      Are these tools really free?

Yes. No account and no credit card. The AI check is limited to a few checks per visitor per day, and the file checks to 20 per hour.

What is the difference between these and a full scan?

Each free tool checks one thing. A full scan runs 50 checks on each page, tests whether AI crawlers are actually served your pages (not just what robots.txt says), and explains what to fix first.

      Should I block AI crawlers?

That is your call. Blocking crawlers used for AI search, such as OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot, keeps your pages out of those answers. Some sites block training crawlers like GPTBot but allow search crawlers.

Do I need an llms.txt file?

It is optional. It is a short text file that tells AI tools what your business does and links to your key pages. It takes a few minutes to write and does no harm.
